Dobbson praises Honda’s new CRF450R on his way to equal sixth

Penrite Honda Racing press release:

Jesse Dobbson competed for the championship winning Honda Team on the weekend in round 3 of the Australian Motocross Championship in Queensland on the famous Conondale circuit.

The Penrite and Honda backed rider claimed two 6th place finishes on his way to equal 6th overall. The young Queenslander was happy with the way he rode but wanted to be further up the field –

“I am happy with my riding and fitness but overall I would have liked to have been further up the field. The pace was there to be battling for podium finishes and I was only a few point of third, but my starts let me down and I had to work hard to come through in both races”.

Daniel Kersnovske has worked with the team since 2012, first winning the championship with Ford Dale. Kersnovske worked closely with Jesse to prepare his race bike in the weeks leading up to Conondale. Jesse believes the new Honda CRF450R is an awesome production bike and credits his strong performance to the bike –

“Daniel did an amazing job in dialling in the production suspension. My motor had some minor updates and I ran a Yoshimura system. Overall it was close to production as they don’t need much, the engine is strong standard on the aggressive map”.

Jesse was equally excited to read the news on the new 2018 CRF450R and looks forward to throwing a leg over one later this year.

Dobbson is contracted to compete in the up and coming supercross championship but hasn’t ruled out another appearance in the MX Nationals, he was extremely thankful for the opportunity to compete on the weekend –

“I really appreciate everyone working hard to get me on the track on the weekend. It was a massive effort to pull it together as we are only contracted to Supercross and Hattah, so thank you to all of our great sponsors, the CRF Honda Team, my dad and team personal”.
