Raceline Pirelli KTM returning to three-rider line up at Conondale

Raceline Pirelli KTM press release:

Raceline Pirelli KTM are making final preparations to head to the third instalment of the MX Nationals where the team will field three riders once again, set to take place at the picturesque Green Park at Conondale this Sunday.

After what was a challenging outing for the team at Appin two weeks ago, Jayden Rykers, Wade Kirkland and Morgan Fogarty are rested and recharged ahead of this weekend, and will enter the round on the Sunshine Coast optimistic that they can deliver the team with improved results.

MX2 pilot Jayden Rykers says that he’s been working hard over the last two weeks to make further improvements to his program, and is determined to put the bad luck experienced at Appin behind him.

“I’m looking forward to some good weather and some good results this weekend. The first round was good, but now I need to rebound from round two – we have always worked well with Conondale so I’m looking forward to it,” Rykers shared.

“I had a little bit of down time over the past two weeks, I was pretty beat up after Appin so I let the body heal and actually flew up to Darwin to race which was awesome.

“I’ve also moved interstate as well which will benefit me as the season goes on now that I’ll be under a close eye and guidance.

“My expectations are the same as always – do the best I can and ride to my full potential”

For fellow MX2 competitor and teammate Kirkland, the last four weeks have allowed him time to recover from an ankle injury, enabling the Tasmanian to line up at Conondale for the team for the second time this season.

“I’m looking forward to finally being back at the races this weekend,” Kirkland said.

“The round off gave me some time to rest and heal up which was really important for me.

“I’m feeling a lot better so hopefully this weekend we can get out there and get some good results.”

Fogarty who finished just one position shy of the MXD podium (4th) in race two at Appin, shared that he too will be hoping for similar results on Sunday, and will be aiming to put two good motos together to deliver the team with a positive result.

“I’m feeling really good coming in to Conondale. I’ve had a solid few weeks of riding, and for me I have just been training heaps and working on the one percenters,” Fogarty explained.

“This weekend my expectations for Conondale are to be on the podium and battling for wins. We know we have the speed, so I’ll just be aiming to put two good races together.

“I’ve made a few minor changes through the week but nothing major, so hopefully we can take some more steps in the right direction this Sunday.”

The third round of the 2017 MX Nationals will take place at Conondale in Queensland this Sunday, 7 May. Visit the official series website at www.mxnationals.com.au for further information.
