An all-star Australian squad has been announced for the 2017 International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) to be staged in Brive, France, from 28 August.

The World Trophy team will boast EnduroGP champion Matthew Phillips and fellow European-based reigning Australian champion Daniel Sanders alongside national contenders Daniel Milner and Josh Green.

Australia’s Junior Trophy team will field national E1 champion Jack Simpson, Wil Ruprecht and Lyndon Snodgrass, while in the Womens Trophy we have the all-conquering combination of Tayla Jones, Jemma Wilson and Jessica Gardiner.

“This will be the 40th ISDE for Australian teams entered under an Australian federation,” explained Australian team manager Don Atkins. “The first team having competed in Czechoslovakia in 1977, as previous teams were entered under the ‘Great British Federation’.

“We were last in Brive for the ISDE in 2001. There were some very good results in France that year, with the Australian trophy team winning a few of the days. There are some significant goals to achieve at this year’s event and the selected teams are capable of achieving the highest results.”

Last year was a disastrous one for Team Australia in the World Trophy, eventually credited 22nd, while the Junior Trophy team claimed sixth and Women were victorious for the fourth-straight year.
