The Motul MX Nationals is continuing to attract new partners in 2017, with confirmation that 6D Helmets has become the official helmet of the series in an alliance with Steve Cramer Products.

Steve Cramer Products, which is a major distributor of motorcycle, bicycle and automotive products, has had a long and rich history within motorcycle sport in Australia, and this year has taken up the official helmet rights with the revolutionary 6D brand.

Steve Cramer Product’s Nationals Sales and Marketing Manager Trent Cramer today spoke of how the partnership came about, and why the Motul MX Nationals and 6D Helmets are the perfect fit for 2017.

“We decided towards the end of last year that we were going to partner with an off-road motorcycle championship in 2017 with our 6D Helmets brand, but were unsure exactly which one,” Steve Cramer Products’ national sales and marketing manager Trent Cramer commented. “We contacted Kevin Williams and explained what we were trying to achieve and spoke about what the MX Nationals had to offer us as an official helmet partner. Once we learned of what WEM has planned for the MX Nationals in 2017 we threw our support behind the championship.

“The helmet market is the most competitive it’s ever been and brand awareness is key. 6D Helmets have developed a revolutionary design that offers superior protection. If spectators leave the event with a solid understanding of these features, or go home and continue further research of their own, our message was successful. What really makes a 6D Helmet a truly special product is the Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS).

“It represents a fully active, in-helmet suspension and kinetic energy management system. ODS is designed to protect the rider’s brain over a broader range of energy transfer than traditional helmet designs – especially angular acceleration, and in low and high velocity impacts. ODS achieves this by providing more time, travel, and progression, to manage the impact as the dampers compress and shear. It’s truly a revolutionary design.

“To reach the next step with the brand and cement its position in the market place, we need to educate the motorcycle community on how a 6D Helmet offers such superior protection and what the purpose is of those ‘springy things’ within the construction of the helmet! Partnering with the MX Nationals gives us the opportunity to operate a display at each round throughout the series, having our guys on the ground answering all of your product related questions and offering technical explanations about the premier feature, ODS.

“There have been many advances in the MXN championship over the last few years and the new innovations added to the series for 2017 were very attractive to us. We are very excited to utilise these new assets and display to Australian motocross community what 6D Helmets has to offer.”

Motul MX Nationals promoter Kevin Williams welcomed the partnership: “It has been a big month for us, with a lot of exciting announcements made, so it’s great to get the news out to the public that Steve Cramer Products has partnered with the series and that 6D Helmets will be our Motul MX Nationals official helmet for the very first time in 2017.

“6D Helmets have a strong commitment to rider safety which is exactly what we believe as a series too. It was only fitting to establish 6D Helmets with the Motul MX Nationals and showcase the brand in front of the Australian motorcycle community. We take a lot of pride in partnering with the best in the business who share our passion for racing. Steve Cramer Product’s staff and 6D Helmets embody all of that which makes us very excited to work with them for the 2017 race season.”

The first round of the Motul MX Nationals will be held on 2 April at Wonthaggi in Victoria. For more information on the Motul MX Nationals head to or click here for further information on Steve Cramer Products and to view the all-new 6D range.
