A three-rider line-up has been confirmed for the revised 2017 DSR Motul Pirelli Sherco Off-Road Team managed by Dave Suter and co-managed by racer and industry expert Derek Grundy.

Headlining the team in the professional ranks will be Nic Tomlinson and Andy Wilksch aboard 450 SEF-R and 300 SEF-R machines, respectively while Grundy will represent the team in both a management role and in the Master’s class.

“Appointing rider talent to a Team is always a difficult task,” said Suter. “But this year it just fell into place and we couldn’t be happier with our line-up. Nic Tomlinson and Andy Wilksch will headline our team in the pro ranks while Derek Grundy will support me in the management role whilst contesting the Master’s class.”

Suter, the driving force behind the DSR Motul Pirelli Sherco Off-Road Team for the past two years, is confident in Tomlinson as he gears up to contest the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) and Hattah Desert Race in the Under 19s, along with the Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE) in the E2 category.

“Nic is a dedicated rider that wants to win,” Suter explained. “He loved the Sherco from the very first ride and testing has seen him shave considerable amounts of time from the stopwatch.”

Tomlinson’s teammate Wilksch will also be busy in 2017 contesting the AORC, Hattah Desert Race, A4DE, Victorian Off-Road Championship and the South Australian Off-Road Championship where he was runner-up last season.

“Andy has some serious raw speed,” Suter added. “He tested the 300 SEF-R and was immediately faster than on his race bike from last year. He’s a fantastic talent that has the respect of our industry partners and that says a lot about his character – expect to see a faster Andy Wilksch in 2017.”
