Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey has returned top step of the podium in Atlanta as the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series reached the halfway point.

Dungey took his second win of the year and stretched his points lead to 25, joined on the podium by Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) and Blake Baggett (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM).

Australian Chad Reed (Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha) rode to seventh, now eighth in the championship standings. He was as high as fifth before going down on lap six and then clawing his way back.

In the East Coast 250SX main event it was Zach Osborne (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) who won his first-ever final to snatch the points lead from Joey Savatgy (Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki), who was fourth tonight.

Osborne won over Alex Martin (Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM) and an impressive Colt Nichols (Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha). Just two points now separate Osborne and Savatgy atop the standings.
