Team Suzuki World MXGP will utilise the updated 2018 Suzuki RM-Z450WS in the 2017 MXGP World Championship, expected to be the base of next year’s production machine from the Japanese brand.

Factory duo Kevin Strijbos and Arminas Jasikonis will be on-board the new model in the upcoming MXGP season within the Belgian-based team managed by 10-time grand prix champion Stefan Everts.

“I am very excited of course,” Everts said. “It’s my second year with Suzuki and I am so happy and honoured to be able to present this new RM-Z450WS. It is a great bike, it looks fantastic and it is new motivation for everybody involved to take the brand back to the top step of motocross. Of course there is still a lot of work to do in the future for myself and the team but having this back-up from Japan and this new bike is something great for everyone.”

Team Suzuki also formally introduced its talent-packed MX2 line-up of Australian rookie Hunter Lawrence alongside Jeremy Seewer and Bas Vaessen, as well as EMX250 newcomer Zachary Pichon and 85cc teammates Jett Lawrence – brother of Hunter – and Liam Everts.
