Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team’s Mathias Bellino has claimed the lead following day two of the 2016 Yamaha Australian Four-Day Enduro in Victoria today.

After completing yesterday’s opening day in third, Bellino made up valuable time and will head into tomorrow’s penultimate day with a 15-second advantage over CDR Yamaha’s Daniel Milner.

Defending champion Milner slipped to second in the outright standings after finishing the day in fourth, he was able to make up ground in the final tests’ of the day, however Bellino’s early pace was too quick and he was unable to retain the overall lead.

Active8 Yamaha’s Josh Green raced to second on day two, edging out CDR Yamaha’s Chris Hollis for third in the outright results. Hollis completed the day in third and now sits shy of the top three by just six seconds.

Husqvarna’s Lachlan Stanford and Motul Pirelli Sherco Racing Team’s Matt Phillips overcame reigning Australian off-road champion Daniel Sanders (KTM Enduro Racing Team) during today’s 10-test day, which saw Sanders fall to sixth in the outright standings.

After finishing in sixth, recently-crowned EnduroGP world champion Phillips sits under 13 seconds behind Sanders prior to tomorrow’s third day.

In the Women’s category, Tayla Jones (Yamaha) topped the class for the second consecutive day while leading Jemma Wilson (Yamaha) and Jessica Gardner (Yamaha).
