Form

Our picks:
Chad Reed (SX1) – This is a tough one, there’s even more talent behind the gates this weekend in Sydney, but we can’t go past the hometown hero, he won the opening night in 2015 and came very close to winning night two behind Cooper Webb.

Gavin Faith (SX2) – The Sydney indoor circuit will lend itself quite well to the Arenacross champion and coming off the back of a win in Melbourne, he’ll be tough to beat this weekend.

Next best:
Cooper Webb (SX1) – This guy showed us in 2015 that he was the real deal in the premier class and you can bet your bottom dollar he’ll be right there battling for wins all weekend.

Hayden Mellross (SX2) – Mellross has the title on the line this weekend, so that may force the New South Wales native to play it safe and bring it home for championship points instead of pushing it for round wins.

Outside chances:
Justin Brayton (SX1) – He’s the current series leader, and with an Arenacross background, rides very well on tight circuits just like Qudos Bank Arena. Brayton will be up there battling with the best this weekend, there’s no doubt about it.

Jackson Richardson (SX2) – Richardson is a strong contender for wins in the SX2 category, we’ve already seen him claim victory in Toowoomba and he surely can win again in Sydney this weekend.

Watch for:
SX1 – Wil Hahn, Ryan Villopto, Dan Reardon, Dean Ferris, Kyle Peters

SX2 – Wilson Todd, Dylan Wills, Josh Cachia, Justin Hoeft, Kyle Webster
