Penrite Honda will run a new retro livery to celebrate Penrite Oil's 90th anniversary

Penrite Honda press release:

Penrite Honda celebrates Penrite Oil’s 90th this weekend at round 4 of the Penrite Australian Supercross Championship.

Penrite Oil Company is celebrating its 90th year. The Australian owned and championship winning Oil Company is proud of its continued support of motorcycle racing and the Penrite Honda Team. General Manager of Penrite Oil, Toby Dymond believes racing is a part of their DNA.

“We race in Supercars, motorcycles and boats because we are passionate about motorsport and also because it’s the best proving ground to test our products. Ninety years is a honourable milestone and we are proud to be Australian, owned by Australian’s and supporting domestic racing.”

The team will showcase a retro livery with Penrite’s original colours and Penrite will have a range of Retro merchandise on sale.

Gavin Faith wants the win this weekend and has worked closely with the team to get more comfortable on bike.

“Firstly, how amazing does our bike look? Penrite have made it possible for me to come out each year and I need to thank them, I would also like to reward them and Honda with another win this weekend. We have been focused on getting me more comfortable on the bike this week and I feel more ready now. Anything less than a win will be disappointing,” said Faith.

The team’s second rider, Josh Cachia hopes to improve on his previous rounds results and believes he is in a much better position.

“It’s been tough, I am working hard and am slowly moving forward. The crashes in Toowoomba set me back and I am finally feeling myself again. This is my home race and I hope to be able to get inside the top 5.”

The 4th round of the Penrite Australian Supercross Championship will take place this Saturday at Avalon Raceway. For more information go to www.australiansuperx.com.au.
