Motorcycling Australia (MA) has announced Daniel Milner as the first member of its all-new enduro ambassador program ahead of the 2016 Yamaha Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE).

The initiative has been introduced by MA to help increase the number of riders in enduro racing, with Milner’s role seeing him assist in the continuation of off-road development and promotion of Australia’s off-road championships.

The multi-time A4DE champion expressed his pleasure in being named as an ambassador, and stated he is excited to introduce new people to the discipline.

“It is really cool,” Milner shared. “This is the first time something like this has happened, and I am really looking forward to it. Hopefully we can get some young people in to the sport, and also get the ones who have been there and done it before back in to it, as they still have the racing and riding in their heart.”

“I am happy to try and help people, and get them back on their bike. I think it is one of those things where it has always felt like the attention was on motocross back in the day, but seeing how much it has turned around and how much time is getting put in to off-road now, I think it’s a pretty cool thing.”

Next week’s A4DE will mark Milner’s first event as an ambassador, where he will defend his title aboard a CDR Yamaha-backed WR450F.
