Back in business for Proformance

Proformance Racing press release:

After disappointingly missing rd 2 of the Supercross championship in Toowoomba the team was back for rd3 in Adelaide.

The day started promising when both boys were able to learn the tricky track quickly, This track featured a big set of Whoops the longest and hardest so far this season, Kale was good through them all day looking in control and fast. Hugh however really struggled to come to grips with them not having much Supercross experience.

Hugh lined up for heat 1 and pulled a fantastic start but run a bit wide and come around mid pack, Hugh rode great but struggling with the whoop section which meant he didn’t have the lap times to move forward and went to the LCQ.

In the LCQ Hugh again got a great start and was battling for 5th, unfortunately the rider in front come up very short on the triple jump and Hugh had nowhere to go landing on the crashed bike and causing him a scary crash, fortunately Hugh was ok but this would end his night.

Kale rocket from the gate in his heat and lead laps to eventually finish 2nd in the heat behind Jackson Richardson. This was a fantastic result and the confidence builder Kale needed after returning from injury.

Kale was fired up for the main event, maybe a little too fired up as he hit the gate resulting in a dead last start for the final, Kale got going and moved up to 12th but pulled in at lap 10 having trouble breathing and not being able to get air into his lungs, Kale was suffering from this all night due to a chest infection, although he didn’t finish the main event the day was stamped a success and a good step in the right direction after returning from injury.

Hugh and Kale will now prepare for the Victorian leg of the Championship to be held this weekend Saturday November 5th at Avalon Race Way near Geelong.
