AME Management has confirmed Jackson Strong’s entry for the 2016 AUS-X Open Monster Energy Best Trick contest that will run alongside the international supercross event inside Sydeny’s Qudos Bank Arena on 12-13 November.

Strong, who captured victory on both nights of the best trick contest last year, stated that he couldn’t miss out on the 2016 edition after what he believes was the best supercross and freestyle motocross event that has ever been held in the country.

“Nothing sounds more patriotic to me than launching into the roof in front of thousands of screaming Aussie fans,” said Strong. “Last years AUS-X Open was without a doubt the best supercross and freestyle motocross event Australia has ever seen – and something that I’m not going to miss [out on].”

The Australian will be joined by compatriot Clinton Moore and Frenchman Tom Pages, which has led the X Games gold medalist to recognise what it will take for him to have a share of the $120,000 prize purse.

“I think it’s pretty much going to come down to who’s got the biggest balls, and who’s willing to send it the furthest,” he added.

Further FMX rider announcements are expected to be made in the coming weeks, while a selection of international riders including Ryan Villopoto and Cooper Webb, plus Australia’s very own Chad Reed have already been confirmed to take part in the supercross event.
