Commercial partnerships expand for 2016 AUS-X Open

The largest action sports competition in the Southern Hemisphere, the AUS-X Open, have announced an all-star line up of sponsors for 2016, with multiple high-profile brands forging new partnerships or expanding on those for 2015 – proving the combination of action sports and high energy entertainment is hugely popular for their respective target markets.

The New South Wales (NSW) Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, have confirmed their major backing of the AUS-X Open once again in 2016, and will play an instrumental role in making the event a success as the Strategic Partner.

Leading Australian insurance company – Shannons Insurance, of the Suncorp Group are the Official Insurance Partner of the AUS-X Open in 2016 and one of Australia’s most recognised brands in motorsport.

Having partnered with the flagship event in 2015, energy drink giant – Monster Energy, return as the Official Energy Drink Partner of the AUS-X Open for 2016, activating nationally via in-store promotions in over 1,400 Woolworths service stations and supermarkets.

Monster Energy have also re-signed as the naming rights partner of the FMX ‘Best Trick’ contest, which is a massive element to the event as never before seen tricks are expected to be unleashed via an incredible lineup of talent soon to be announced.

Returning for 2016 as the Official Auto Retail Partner, is Supercheap Auto. The Supercheap brand is synonymous with Australia’s favourite motorsport events, teams, and athletes bringing extensive nationwide knowledge, experience and reach with to an incredible network of stores and brands.

A revolutionary addition to the 2016 AUS-X Open, for the very first time in Australian Supercross history, betting markets will be made available for punters, with Australia’s most innovative bookmaker – Ladbrokes, coming on board as the Official Betting Partner of the AUS-X Open.

In addition to attracting new and exciting brands for 2016, some of the most stable long term supporters of Supercross and action sports return, communicating to their core audiences in ways traditional sports can not.
