Daniel Sanders, Tye Simmonds and Jack Simpson have been crowned champions in their respective classes at Penshurst’s 2016 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship finale in Victoria on Sunday, 11 September.

After claiming the outright championship on Saturday, Sanders (KTM Enduro Racing Team) raced to another convincing victory, blitzing all six stages on the final day to be awarded the E3 title.

Lyndon Snodgrass (Husqvarna) claimed the runner-up position for the second consecutive day, placing third overall in the E3 championship standings behind Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team’s Lachlan Stanford, who completed the day’s racing sixth outright.

Second in the outright standings, KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Tye Simmonds pushed through a challenging weekend to clinch the E2 title ahead of CDR Yamaha’s Chris Hollis in second, and Husqvarna privateer Broc Grabham in third.

Jack Simpson (KTM) also repeated his results from Saturday to conclude the outright podium in third, wrapping up the E1 title in the process.

Glenn Kearney (Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team) had a difficult weekend in the brutal conditions, concluding the day 14th outright to credit him second overall in the E1 championship.

Riley Graham’s (Yamaha) fourth outright was enough the award the South Australian the final spot on the podium in the E1 standings.
