Youthstream’s Monster Energy SMX Riders and Manufacturers Cup has been bolstered by the addition of big name Americans Ryan Dungey and Jason Anderson for the 8 October event.

Dungey will join the all-star factory KTM squad of Jeffrey Herlings and Marvin Musquin at the VELTINS Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Husqvarna meanwhile has confirmed that Anderson will combine with Max Nagl and Zach Osborne in the first-ever edition of the teams event.

“I believe it will be the greatest event in the world and I have to really thank KTM because these teams will make the difference,” Youthstream president Giuseppe Luongo said.

“My dream was to have an event like the Motocross of Nations but for the manufacturers. In Assen, the other manufacturers will announce their teams and believe me, they will be strong, so here we will have seven manufacturers who will have very strong teams and to win will mean something big.”

Honda previously announced it will enter grand prix regulars in the SMX Riders and Manufacturers Cup, led by MXGP revelation Tim Gajser alongside Team HRC duo Gautier Paulin and Evgeny Bobryshev.
