Multiple world champion Antonio Cairoli raced to the MXGP pole position in Switzerland on Saturday, winning the premier class heat race for Red Bull KTM.

The Italian reverted back to a 450 SX-F for the Swiss weekend, overcoming Tim Gajser (Honda Gariboldi) and Clement Desalle (Monster Energy Kawasaki) to top qualifying.

In MX2 it was Jeremy Seewer (Team Suzuki) who took the qualifying race win, leading Thomas Covington (Rocstar Energy Husqvarna) and Samuele Bernardini (TM) across the line.

The opening EMX250 race of the round was won by American Darian Sanayei (Kawasaki) ahead of Josiah Natzke (KTM) and Filip Neugbauer (Kawasaki), while on debut Australia’s Jed Beaton crossed the finish in 11th.
