The Australian Supercross Championship will return to Toowoomba Showgrounds, Queensland, for round two of the 2016 season on 14 October.

Scott Bannan (SB) Promotions will take the series to Toowoomba for round two later this season, in what’s anticipated to be the ‘biggest supercross track in Australia’.

The event launch took place in the town earlier this week, attracting a who’s who of Australian Supercross. SB Promotions will also host the Jimboomba season-opener on 17 September.

“We had it here in 2013 and there were a couple of issues with the championship back then, so we have new promoters and everyone on board,” commented Toowoomba legend and National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team manager Troy Carroll. “It’s great to bring back our team and showcase it in Toowoomba.”

Toowoomba’s announcement also indicates that there will be revisions to Motorcycling Australia’s provisional calendar outline released in February, which had a Victorian round listed between the pair of Queensland events.

Tickets to both the Jimbooma X Stadium and Toowoomba Showgrounds events are available online now via www.ticketbooth.com.au.
