Bobryshev claims MXGP pole position in France

Title leader Herlings wins again in MX2 qualifying heat race.

Team HRC Honda’s Evgeny Bobryshev has taken pole position for the French round of the 2016 MXGP World Championship at Villars sous Ecot.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antonio Cairoli led early before crashing, as eventual winner Bobryshev worked his way to the front around halfway.

Bobryshev won ahead of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Romain Febvre and Kemea Yamaha Official MX Team’s Valentin Guillod, while title leader Tim Gajser (Honda Gariboldi) was 13th after crashing early.

Red Bull KTM’s Jeffrey Herlings was 10 seconds clear of Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Dylan Ferrandis in the MX2 heat, as Pauls Jonass completed the top three.
