Australia’s Chad Reed is set to join an exclusive list of riders at this weekend’s St. Louis Monster Energy AMA Supercross event, where he will line up for his 200th premier class start in the series.

The Monster Energy/360fly/Chaparral/Yamaha Factory Racing rider will join Mike LaRocco and Kevin Windham as the only three riders to achieve this impressive feat, as well as become the first international rider to hit the 200 start milestone in the process.

Reed, originally from Kurri Kurri in New South Wales, kicked off his American premier class career in 2003 after winning the 2002 Eastern Regional Championship in his rookie season with Yamaha.

He would then go on the capture the 2004 250cc AMA Supercross Championship with 10 victories along the way, before his next and most recent premier class championship came in 2008 aboard a Yamaha YZ450F.

Since his debut in the main game, Reed has amassed an astounding 44 main event victories with the likes of Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey as some of his rivals throughout his career.

Reed, who is understood to be in a supercross-only contract for this season, currently sits fifth overall in the 2016 Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX Championship after 13 rounds of racing.
