Raceline Pirelli KTM’s Wills and Kirkland locked and loaded for round two

Raceline Pirelli KTM press release:

Raceline Pirelli KTM is set to make the short trip down to Appin for round two of the MX Nationals this weekend, with both Wade Kirkland and Dylan Wills ready to take on the technical circuit.

With the KTM backed team now having a successful round one up it’s sleeves, round two at Appin will provide a new opportunity to snatch up valuable championship points, and both Wills and Kirkland are up for the challenge.

For Wills, round one at Horsham didn’t go exactly to plan, however the MX2 pilot has shared that he’s back to himself and looking forward to getting to work at round two.

“Going in to Horsham, I had a pretty big crash so I just wasn’t at 100 per cent. I’m feeling better now though and looking forward to round two,” he said

“I took a week off after Horsham to let my head rest and then I got back into it on Saturday.

“I feel sharp again and ready to go – I just finished my week up with some testing with the team and I feel like myself again. The bike is exactly where I want it and the body feels back to 100 per cent.”

Kirkland, who had a breakthrough ride in the Pirelli MXD class in moto two at Horsham where he finished second, and was only one-point shy of the overall podium, is looking to carry the same form into Appin this weekend.

“I had a bit of bad luck in moto one at Horsham, but I was really happy that I was able to finish up there in the second race and show that I have the speed to run with the front guys,” he said.

“I’ve been on school holidays ahead of round two, so I’ve been able to do even more riding than usual and I’m feeling really good on the bike.

“I’m just looking forward to racing with the whole team again this weekend, and seeing what sort of results we can put on the board.”

Raceline Pirelli KTM, will now head to round two of the 2016 MX Nationals at Appin, New South Wales, being held on Sunday April 17.
