National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Kade Mosig will enter this weekend’s second round of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals with hopes of repeating his 2015 Appin performance.

The Victorian claimed the overall premier class victory at last year’s event, and although he admits 2016 is a fresh start, he looks forward to battling for his second premier class win in a row on the Bellbird Circuit.

“It was incredible to win in Appin,” Mosig reflected. “2016 is a new year though, so we’ll look towards this weekends round and hopefully capture a two-peat.”

After finishing fourth overall at Horsham’s season opening round following a GoPro Super Pole victory and two strong starts, Mosig has remained positive and spent the break between rounds one and two working on his weaknesses.

“I’ve had a really good couple of weeks and we’ve been able to work on a couple of areas that came out of Horsham,” he explained. “There were a lot of positives to take out of that first round, such as my speed and my starts, but it’s a matter of eliminating the little mistakes. We’re nearly there, I just need to keep my focus and continue building throughout the season and we’ll be on the right track.”

Mosig currently sits just nine points out of the championship leading position currently held by factory Kawasaki teammate Matt Moss with nine rounds remaining on the 2016 schedule.
