Waters and Wilson ready to launch Wilson's Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki assault

Wilson’s Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki press release:

Wilson’s Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki have put the finishing touches on their team setup and are prepped and ready to launch their 2016 Motul MX Nationals campaign, starting at round one this weekend in Horsham Victoria.

The team which has brought together some familiar faces from around the motorcycling industry, will field two MX1 riders starting at round one this weekend, with both Todd Waters and Luke Wilson prepared for another year of racing.

Queenslander Waters, who has returned from Europe to race on home soil in 2016, shared his excitement in getting back to the MX Nationals after two years of racing MXGP’s.

“I’m feeling pretty stoked to be back in Australia that’s for sure! The competition is tough but I’ve prepared myself as best as I can and I’m excited to go racing,” he said.

“For me this year, I’m just going in there to focus on myself and do the absolute best I can for my team. I have a great group of people behind me and that’s the sort of thing that wins championships – good people.

“The bike has been great, and it’s been awesome to get back on the Suzuki. The bike is working very well, and we’re just all looking forward to getting to Horsham and getting a good result.”

Wilson who will make his debut in the MX1 class at round one in Horsham this weekend, says that he’s up for the challenge, and looking forward to getting back into racing for the 2016 season.

“I’m feeling really good going in to round one – I’ve set myself a goal for this weekend and that’s to get some good starts. I really want to focus on those and put myself in the best position possible in my races,” he said.

“I’ve never felt as good on a bike as what I do on the Suzuki. I’m feeling really comfortable and having Todd as a team mate is great too. We haven’t done a lot of riding together as yet, but the plan is to do some training together after this round.

“For me this year, I really want to achieve some top ten results, that’s what I really want to get my head around. I know when I’m training with the boys that I have the pace, so I just want to focus on being able to do that on race day.”

Wilson’s Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki Team Manager Neale Wilson, shared that the team’s family environment, and fantastic machinery is a great point of difference for the newly put together Suzuki Factory effort.

“It’s been a big few months, and we’ve had a lot of big changes, including color but it’s very exciting now knowing that we are a day or so out from round one and everything has come together,” he said.

“We have a great team of people as a part of the team this year. We’re welcoming back some great people to the sport, and then we also have a long list of dedicated sponsors and a new manufacturer too.

“Having Todd on the team has been great, and we are excited to see what he can do this year – one thing that we love is that he has a ‘family’ orientated attitude, and that’s what our team is – we are family. Todd’s had a great pre season and is ready for round one.

“Luke is in a great place at the moment too, and he has great equipment to work with this year so we’re excited to see where he can finish this weekend. We’re hoping for a great result on the Suzuki machines.”

Wilson’s Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki, will now head to round one of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals at Horsham, Victoria being held on Sunday April 3.
