Meghan Rutledge will contest the entire 2016 Motul MX Nationals MX2 championship in 2016 with continued support from Kawasaki Motors.

After dividing her efforts between racing in both Australia and internationally for the FIM Women’s World Motocross Championship over the last three years, Rutledge looks forward to challenging herself for a full 12 months on home soil.

“I’m looking forward to being in Australia for 12 months and competing on home soil,” said Rutledge. “Anybody who knows me understands that I am always chasing a challenge. Getting my fitness back up and racing against the boys in the MX2 class is something that drives me and I will definitely be aiming for a top 10 finish in that.”

Rutledge will contest the MX2 class and Women’s class aboard the familiar KX250F as well as battling for the MX1 title and Women’s title in the NSW Motocross State Championship and potentially the Victorian State Championship aboard both the KX250F and KX450F.

“I’m confident that I can take out the Women’s class in the MX Nationals and I want to race Supercross against the boys if it works out this year,” she explained. “I love the KX250F and the new KX450F is a massive improvement on a machine that was already at the top of the game last year. These are the best bikes I have ever ridden and I couldn’t be doing what I am doing without these bike or the support from Kawasaki.”

Rutledge will kick off her season at the first round of the NSW State Motocross Championship in Canberra over the Easter weekend, where she will compete in both the MX1 and Women’s classes before Meghan making her way to Horsham for round one of the MX Nationals on 3 April.
