Sherco Australia has announced naming rights sponsors Motul Pirelli will continue into 2016 with the Sherco Factory and Sherco Academy Teams.

The four-rider line up across two teams will use Motul lubricants and Pirelli tyres for all of their off-road racing duties, a partnership Sherco Australia’s Stephen Tuff looks forward to extending.

“We’re thrilled to have such amazing brands behind us again for 2016,” said Tuff. “Motul and Pirelli are as big as it gets in motorsport and their products speak for themselves. Our riders love racing on Pirelli Scorpion tyres and our mechanic has nothing but confidence in running Motul 7100 10W60 in our race bike engines.”

Pirelli Australia product manager, Don Nicholas, believes the partnership between Sherco Australia and Pirelli, with their large range of off-road tyres, is a great fit.

“We are very pleased to continue our partnership with Sherco and Mojo Motorcycles,” said Nicholas. “It’s a dynamic and focused team at Mojo Motorcycles and Sherco and our philosophy of ‘we race what we sell, we sell what we race’ is a great fit with Pirelli Scorpion MX and Scorpion XC used by the race team.

“Enduro is an important market for us and a high performance brand such as Sherco is the perfect showcase for us. It demonstrates that the same high-performance Scorpion MX 32 tyres that the Motul Pirelli Sherco team races on at Pro-level in the AORC can also be purchased directly from local motorcycle stores right around Australia, and ridden on the weekend on anyone’s bike.”

The Motul Pirelli Sherco Factory Team and Motul Pirelli Sherco Academy Team begin their 2016 racing campaign with rounds one and two of the Australian Off-Road Championship at Kilkivan in Queensland.
