All eyes will be cast firmly upon Australia’s heroic Dakar Rally champion Toby Price when the inaugural New Holland Enduro-X powered by Monster Energy gets underway in Adelaide, South Australia, this week alongside the Clipsal 500 V8 Supercars opener.

Price and a host of top-level enduro contenders will take to the track for opening practice on at 9:30am on Thursday, 3 March, in the ‘TrAction Zone’ within the iconic street circuit venue. They will continue on track throughout the weekend.

“On paper it looked a little bit easier, but once you’ve got it all built and all the materials in here it’s very technical,” Price said after sampling the man-made world-class Enduro-X circuit this week. His main opponent will come in the form of American motocross and off-road legend Mike Brown.

“I’ve already messaged him this morning saying I got an early start on the track, practice and have got all the hot lines already, but I don’t know if he’s getting them – he’s not really replying,” he laughed.

Price has the challenge ahead of re-adapting to the tight confines of Enduro-X competition, just six weeks after becoming Australia’s first-ever Dakar Rally winner. That event was held over two weeks and near 10,000 kilometres of wide-open racing in South America. However if anybody can do it, it is the versatile reigning Australian Off-Road Champion and Finke Desert Race winner.

With a $35,000 prize pool up for grabs in the event and races scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Enduro-X Cup to be held on Saturday night will be the major attraction across race week. Further information can be found via this link on the official website.

Alongside his New Holland Enduro-X powered by Monster Energy commitments, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Price will also make his second appearance in the Toyo Tires Stadium Super Trucks presented by Traxxas.

Dirt bike fans will also be treated to the high profile ShowtimeFMX Freestyle Motocross shows across all four days of the Clipsal 500 weekend, also scheduled to take place within the TrAction Zone precinct.
