Team Motul Suzuki's Moss chasing the win at Wayville

Team Motul Suzuki press release:

Team Motul Suzuki’s Matt Moss will be taking aim at his second round win of the year when the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship heads to the Wayville Showgrounds in South Australia this Saturday evening.

The two time reigning ASX champion was at his blistering best at the opening two rounds, topping each and every session he contested on track at round one and was on target for a repeat performance at Jimboomba.

Unfortunately after leading the main event early, two crashes during the race left the number one plated Suzuki RM-Z450 to fight his way through the pack for a hard fought third place result.

The third place finish resulted in Moss relinquishing the championship leaders Red Plate for the first time in over two years.

With the past two weeks spent training at his home base at the Moss Institute, the New South Welshman has one thing on his mind this Saturday night and that is to stand back on the top step of the podium and re-claim the red plate.

“I left Jimboomba a little disappointed with the way I rode in the final, but we quickly put that behind us and went back to work ready for round three this weekend.” Moss stated.

“I have spent the past couple of weeks at home training hard both on and off the bike at the Moss institute and am ready to climb back onto the top step on Saturday night.”

“I am looking forward to racing at Wayville, the South Aussie fans always come out in big numbers for the supercross over there and hopefully we are racing in front of a packed house for the third round in a row. on Saturday night.” Moss added.

Moss wil be the sole Team Motul Suzuki racer in action again this weekend as Kale Makeham continues to recover from an ankle injury he suffered at the opening round at Bathurst.

Makeham is on the improve and has started to put weight back on the injured leg and is hopeful of returning to riding next week with a planned return to racing at round four when the series heads back to Jimboomba on the 21st of November.

“I won’t be back for Wayville this weekend,” Makeham commented. “The ankle is starting to feel a lot better and I am aiming to be back on the bike early next week.

“There is nothing worse than sitting on the sidelines, while everyone else is out there racing and I can’t wait to get back out there. At this stage I am aiming to be back for round four at Jimboomba.”
