Penrite Honda Wilson MX is preparing to reach the halfway point in the 2015 Australian Supercross Series in South Australia this weekend, as the Honda backed team makes the trek to Wayville for round three.

After an action packed round two, where SX2 team rider Jackson Richardson finished on the podium, the Wilson MX squad have they’re on the top step of the podium this weekend, and are all eager for racing to kick off this Saturday night.

With Luke Wilson still sidelined with injury, Jake Williams, Geran Stapleton and Richardson will fly the Penrite Honda Wilson MX flag in Adelaide – Richardson looking to continue his chase for a 2015 SX2 class championship.

Jackson Richardson:

“It’s going to be a good weekend! We had a really solid round at Jimboomba, and I’m looking forward to getting back in to it,” he said.

“I’m currently ten points behind Jimmy Decotis, so it’s good to know that I’m in contention for the championship, and we’ve put ourselves in a good position.

“I’ve seen a few videos of the track in Adelaide, and it’s looking awesome. I’m excited to get out there and hopefully put it on the box again.”

Geran Stapleton:

“I have had a pretty good two weeks, so I can’t complain. Just looking forward to getting back out there this weekend,” he said.

“I have said it before, but I really need to get out of that top five and in to the top three – I’ve done it before so I should probably pull my finger out.

“We have good bikes, and a supportive team, so all the tools are there and I just need to put it together this weekend – wish me luck (laughs)”

Jake Williams:

“Last round I ended up in Racesafe and swallowed a bunch of dirt, and I actually ended up with a chest infection which has made the last two weeks a bit hard,” he said.

“I’m feeling a lot better now though, and it should be a good weekend over in Adelaide with all the boys.

“If I can make the main event I’ll be happy, so fingers crossed I can get the job done this weekend.”

The Wilson MX Team will now head to South Australia on October 31 for Round 3 of the Australian Supercross Series.
