CDR Yamaha’s Daniel Milner increased his Outright lead on day two of the 2015 Yamaha Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) in Wynyard, Tasmania on Thursday.

After finishing day one with a three second lead over KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Matthew Phillips, Milner embraced the conditions faced by competitors after overnight rain to win the first three special tests for the day.

Phillips, who extended his lead in the E3 class over teammate Daniel Sanders (third Outright) to over a minute and 45 seconds, managed to register the fastest times in the final two special tests.

But it wasn’t enough to stop Milner establishing a 27-second advantage in the standings, who all the while made it very difficult for CDR Yamaha teammate Chris Hollis (fifth Outright) to arrest back his already mountainous lead in the E2 class at the event’s halfway point.

Sitting in fourth in the Outright standings after day two was Active8 Yamaha’s Josh Green, who like Milner and Phillips in their respective classes increased his lead in the E1 classification to put him in a very strong position heading into day three.

In the Women’s class, Yamaha Racing’s Tayla Jones quickly eradicated the 10-second day one lead of Sherco Ballards Motorex Off-Road Team rider Jess Gardiner in the first special test. Jones then went about setting a blistering pace in the remaining four tests to open up a minute and a half lead over Gardiner with two days of racing remaining.

In the Veterans classification, Damian Smith widened his lead to just under five minutes from Brandon Kienhui, while David Fleming continues to blitz all comers in the Masters class to lead by two minutes and 18 seconds over Derek Grundy.
