AutoTrader.com/Toyota/JGR Yamaha has announced that Justin Barcia will remain with the team through the 2018 season in the US after agreeing to a long-term contract extension.

After finishing third in the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, Barcia has committed to the next three seasons with JGRMX on board the YZ450F.

“I really like the guys on the team and the overall atmosphere here, now I don’t have to think about anything but riding and training for a long time. We all get along great and I’m pumped,” said Barcia.

Team owner Coy Gibbs commented: “We feel like Justin is a great addition to our racing family and even though he was under contract through 2016, we wanted to extend his agreement with us long-term.”

Barcia’s original agreement was for 2015-2016, the team firming him up for two more seasons on top of that to the close of 2018.
