Form guide

The favourites:
Kirk Gibbs (MX1) – As the dominant red plate holder, another round victory for Gibbs this weekend would come as no surprise. He won’t be on the 2016 KTM yet and missed out on a podium at MX Central last year, however we fully expect him to come out stronger than ever on Sunday.

Caleb Ward (MX2) – Coming off round wins at Murray Bridge and Coolum, Ward won’t have things all his own way by any means, but he’s shown on numerous occasions that when he fires properly he’s difficult to stop.

The threats:
Matt Moss (MX1) – Moss won at Raymond Terrace last year on his way to a second-straight crown, but he’s against the odds this year following an injury-filled first half of the year. Can he rebound? We think he can.

Jay Wilson (MX2) – We’re hearing Wilson was exceptionally strong in NZ over the break, so if he manages to bring that type of form to Australia then wins are no doubt on his radar. Plus, he was on the podium last year at Raymond Terrace.

The darkhorses:
Dan Reardon (MX1) – There’s been a lot of focus on Reardon’s trip to the US during the mid-season break and we’re betting he will step it up a gear for the second half of the season. If he can gain consistency, wins and podiums are well within reach.

Nathan Crawford (MX2) – After scoring a podium last time out at Coolum, Crawford will take a lot of confidence into round six and could possibly come out of the weekend with both race wins. It wouldn’t be a shock whatsoever.
