With round five of the MX Nationals kicking off in Coolum this weekend, a fundraiser for injured riders Joel Evans and Ryan Boyd will be held to assist the boys and their families as they start on their roads to recovery.

On Saturday, 30 May, a BBQ lunch will be held at the Coolum Pines MX Track from 2:00pm, with proceeds going towards assisting Joel Evans and Ryan Boyd. All are encouraged to come out to the track for some lunch, to show your support for these two young guys.

Then on Sunday, 30 May, a raffle and auction will be held during the lunch break at the MX Nationals, with a number of exciting items to be won or purchased. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the track for $3.00 each or five tickets for $10.00.

Jerseys, helmets and other items from riders such as Kirk Gibbs, Luke Styke, Ben Townley and more, will also be auctioned off, with the aim of raising funds for the injured riders.

Racing 4 Disabled (R4D), which is a foundation set up by racers offering support to fallen riders, will also be in the trade area of the pits and will have the jerseys being auctioned off on display. The R4D team will also be available to provide information on how people can further assist Ryan and Joel as well as their families.
