Yamaha's day of domination at MX Nationals

Factory Yamaha teams sweep all classes on Sunday.

Four class wins from four contested and seven moto wins out of the eight races conducted. That was the Yamaha Racing score sheet after racing was completed at round two of the 2015 MX Nationals conducted at Appin Raceway, Sydney.

In a day of near complete domination, Yamaha won all four of the classes contested over the weekend, showcasing the performance of the current generation YZ250F and YZ450F. Kade Mosig locked down he win in the premier MX1 class, Luke Clout nailed the win in the MX2, Wilson Todd took the round win in the Under 19 category (MXD) while Hunter Lawrence claimed victory in the MX Rookies.

On top of the outstanding overall results, moto wins were also dominated by Yamaha. In the two race format, the CDR pair of Kade Mosig and Daniel Reardon each claimed a moto win. MX2 saw Luke Clout and Yamaha supported Jay Wilson trade race wins, Wilson Todd won the final moto in the MXD class, while Hunter Lawrence won both races conducted in the MXR class. In the championship standings, Yamaha now leads the MX2, MXD and MXR points chase and sits second in the MX1 division.

“What an amazing day for Yamaha and our race teams,” states Motorsport Manager, Ray Howard. “Each of the teams and riders put their best foot forward today and it was a huge reward for all our teams to get such fantastic results after all the hard work that has been done in the off season.

“Congratulations, not only to our directly supported teams for their success, but to other Yamaha riders who again were prominent in the results and contributing to make it such as successful day for Yamaha,” Howard ends.
