A one-hour special profiling the 2014 Penrite Australian Supercross Championship will be aired on free-to-air channel 7Mate this Saturday from 12:30pm-13:30pm.

The telecast highlights the intensities of supercross, the close racing and the personal battles endured during the season that started in Bathurst on 10 October.

The 2014 Penrite Australian Supercross season saw both the SX1 (450cc) and SX2 (250cc) class go down to the wire.

Relive the best moments of an epic season, which saw Matt Moss capture his fourth 450cc championship in absolute domination, and America’s Gavin Faith and Kyle Peters face fierce opposition from home-grown talent Brenden Harrison, Taylor Potter and Kale Makeham in the 250 class.

Event manager Yarrive Konsky said the one-hour special was designed to profile the teams and riders who competed in the 2014 championship.

”We condensed the championship into a one-hour highlights package in an effort to showcase racing to a broader and wider audience,” Konsky said. “This is integral in building equity in the teams, riders and sport. We created this special to promote our teams and personalities to a much bigger audience on free-to-air television.”

Tune into 7Mate at 12:30pm on Saturday, 20 December, for the 2014 Penrite Australian Supercross Championship special.
