Current American-based Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) contender Josh Strang will make a welcome return home for the 2014 Yamaha Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE) at Dungog, NSW, on 11-16 August.

Strang will ride a YZ450F for the Active8 Yamaha team, which currently fields Josh Green, Tom McCormack and Beau Ralston in multiple Australian off-road disciplines. McCormack recently contested a pair of GNCC events alongside Strang.

Yamaha has taken up the title sponsorship of the annual A4DE event for 2014, in order to promote Australia’s best dirt bike racers and to cement Yamaha’s position as the number one retailer of off-road motorcyles in Australia.

“The A4DE is a dead-set iconic event that puts Australia’s best riders in the limelight,” explained Yamaha Motor Australia managing director Steven Cotterell. “Being a genuine endurance event, it also showcases the performance and reliability of Yamaha’s YZ and WR range. Knowing the trails and terrain around Dungog, this year’s event looks set to be an absolute ripper.”

Yamaha Motor Australia will also supply a YZ450F for Strang to compete on for Team Australia in the 2014 ISDE in San Juan, Argentina, from 3-8 November.
