The seventh round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals will take place at Conondale in Queensland on its scheduled 13 July date, series promoter Williams Event Management (WEM) has confirmed.

It was initially feared that a venue revision would have to be made for round seven, with the availability of the flowing Conondale circuit case into doubt during the past month. Coolum was the speculated alternate venue, which would have resulted in two stops at the popular Sunshine Coast circuit.

However it has now been agreed Conondale will remain on the schedule for this season; an event that could mark the final national motocross round hosted at the venue.

“We will certainly be hosting round seven at Conondale on the 13 July date,” WEM managing director Kevin Williams told MotoOnline.com.au this week. “Despite some issues regarding the usage of the venue, we are now 100 percent confirmed for the scheduled date.”

The MX Nationals will still travel to Coolum for its annual final stop of the 10-round series on 31 August.
