Jarvis, Gómez and more confirm return to Australia in November.
Four heavyweights of extreme enduro sport will make their way down under to tackle the notorious Bulk Nutrients Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro on 22-23 November.
Husqvarna’s dynamic duo of Graham Jarvis and Spain’s Alfredo Gómez will once again spearhead an assault as they will look to make it another 1-2 result, just like they did in 2013.
Making the trip down under for the first will be Jarvis’s compatriot, 34-year-old Paul Bolton. Bolton, who hails from Lancashire, is another ex-trials rider who switched to extreme enduro.
A truck mechanic by trade, Bolton is a privateer rider, but has still managed to put in some solid results such as a third place finish in 2008 at Erzberg, second place in 2011 at the Tough One, a fourth place finish at the Red Bull Romaniacs in 2011 and a fifth place in 2013.
Also joining the fray for 2014 will be 18-year-old South African Wade Young, who created history in 2012 when he became the youngest ever rider at the slender age of just 16 to claim victory at the Roof of Africa. Young has also been victorious at this year’s King of the Hill Hard Enduro, beating Bolton by 3.200sec.
“Wildwood 2014 has sure got the extreme world talking with the names that are showing interest in attending,” event promoter Steven Braszell told Motoonline.com.au. “It’s great to see the support from around the world from other promoters and riders that provide what is known as extreme enduro.
“It is just really good to know that Wildwood is a great stepping stone for riders to progress their skills further from the young and up-coming riders that Australia has coming through the ranks. I see no reason why our Australian riders cannot beat these overseas riders and what a day it will be as to who and when.”
The 2014 Bulk Nutrients Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro will be held over 22-23 November with a new addition to the weekend which is the Golden Tyre Extreme Hill Climb. This will be held on the Saturday, kicking off at 11:00am.
