Australian duo Josh Strang and Tom McCormack put in strong performances at the seventh round of the 2014 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) in the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer Run.

Reigning XC1 Pro Class Champion Kailub Russell led the three-hour race from start to finish en route to his fourth win of the season, from factory FMF/KTM teammate Charlie Mullins by almost two minutes.

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC N-Fab AmPro Yamaha’s Strang rebounded from a bad start to climb to third after overcoming teammate Jordan Ashburn on the final lap, eventually edging him out by less than a second. He now sits third in the standings, 42 points from Russell in second.

Active8 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) regular Tom McCormack made his second GNCC appearance, claiming a credible 10th in the XC1 Pro ranks as he stepped up to a YZ450F for his US showing.
