Australia’s Josh Strang finished eighth in Sunday’s Dunlop Limestone 100 during the fifth round of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series at Springville, Indiana.

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC N-Fab AmPro Yamaha’s Strang recovered from an opening lap crash, forced to pit for repairs, to race to eighth in the round won by Charlie Mullins (Factory FMF/KTM).

Strang’s consistent streak to start the season was snapped at the Limestone, however he retains third in the standings now 32 points in arrears of new series leader Mullins in the standings.

Mullins took charge of the championship in Indiana, the podium filled by Thad Duvall (RideMPS.com/AMSOIL/Honda) and former series leader Kailub Russell (Factory FMF/KTM).

The GNCC series will continue at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch on 11 May.
