GYTR Yamaha has confirmed that Wilson Todd will line up alongside Jed Beaton in the MXD category of the Monster Energy MX Nationals following the injury of Joel Dinsdale.

Dinsdale is currently recovering in hospital from serious injuries sustained in a car accident this month, forced out of the 2014 title chase.

The team has called in Yamaha Junior Racing rider Todd for the season alongside fellow rookie Beaton, as both race in honour for Dinsdale within the factory-backed team.

“It’s been a tough couple of weeks for everyone in the team as we are a pretty tight-knit group,” said team manager Scott Bishop. “The news of Joel’s injury was tough to take, but we are pleased that his recovery is going well and I’m sure we will see him back at the track in the future.

“I also feel pretty good that both Jed and Wilson are up to the job and we will watch these exciting young riders develop in 2014.”

Todd and Beaton will officially debut this weekend at Broadford’s opening MX Nationals round of the season.
