BBF Motorsports KTM’s Dylan Long will draw from a full season’s worth of experience in the MX2 category of the Monster Energy MX Nationals when the 2014 season commences at Broadford on Sunday.

Long was an impressive fifth overall in last year’s title chase, overcoming a series of set-backs to establish himself as one of the sport’s finest rising stars.

This season will see continuity in the Victorian’s racing program, opting to compete aboard a KTM 250 SX-F once again in a field stacked with both four- and two-stroke machinery.

“It’s great to be riding a newer version of last year’s bike, because we already are ahead in our testing,” Long explained. “Having PTR building our motors and ZipFix handling my suspension we are able to make improvements on an already strong set up.”

Heading in with the same support as last year from KTM, Benalla Bulk Fertilizers, Kenda Tyres, Rock Oil, Shift MX, Fox, The Collective Family, JetPilot, Fist Handwear and bringing new sponsors such as Oakley, Atlas Braces, MX1 Australia and Pro Circuit has made preparation much easier for the 19-year-old.

“Coming into 2014 feeling really good, much fitter and stronger then I ever have been is going to be a massive help,” he added. “Having the same great support as last year and a few new faces will make my job on the bike a lot less stressful.”
