CDR Yamaha duo Daniel Milner and Chris Hollis have both opted to compete aboard the brand new 2014 model YZ250F in this year’s KTM Enduro-X Nationals.

The three-round series will open this weekend at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane, with current Australian Off-Road Champion (AORC) Milner joined by Hollis riding Yamaha’s E1 class contender.

With Enduro-X proving one of the most technical arenas of the season due to its tight confines and challenging obstacles, the YZ250F will was the clear choice for both riders.

“I have a bit of a soft spot for the YZ250F after such a successful season on one last year,” Milner said. “This new bike is amazing and the bike I will be on this weekend is basically standard as I couldn’t fault it during testing.

“Enduro-X is fun, but all the big names in off-road will be competing in the three round series, so I’m taking it seriously and will be out to get another championship for myself and the team.”

Fellow multi-time national champion Hollis is anticipating a strong debut for the CDR team in his return to Yamaha.

“To have a series like this to start the year is awesome as Enduro-X draws plenty of spectators, makes for great racing and the atmosphere is always good at these events,” he said.

“It’s also important for myself and the team to get a good relationship going in a race environment and to shakeout any off the off season cobwebs before the AORC gets underway. I like this kind of racing and hope make it a successful start to my time with the CDR Yamaha crew.”

It’s not yet been confirmed what Yamaha models Milner or Hollis will complete the AORC or Australian Four-Day Enduro events aboard later in the season.
