Inside Ride: Dean Ferris' 2014 Red Bull KTM 250 SX-F

An up-close look at the Aussie's factory AMA contender.

Following his breakout performance at the FIM Motocross of Nations last year, grand prix winner Dean Ferris landed a full-factory ride in the US with Red Bull KTM for 2014. The team is managed by Roger De Coster, and Ferris’ mechanic is Jade Dungey – brother of 450SX teammate Ryan Dungey. Ferris uses a base suspension setting from Ken Roczen and Marvin Musquin in previous years, further developed in 2014 and to suit his specific style. The motor is developed in-house, with all-round power of both bottom-end for supercross, as well as the top-end you’d expect from a factory KTM. As you’ll see in the image selection from Anaheim 1, the bike is full of factory equipment and top-shelf aftermarket parts.
