Motorex KTM Off Road Racing rider Toby Price is targeting a return to US competition in 2015 after recently re-signing to remain in Australia next year.

Price was on the verge of a US career this season when he was injured in California, dashing plans to compete in the Baja 500 and 1000 for KTM.

Now back on the bike and gaining fitness by the month, Price is hopeful he can regain peak form in 2014 before returning to America for another assault the following year.

“My goals for next year are simple – I just want to be back where I was,” Price said. “It’s going to be a tough year because everyone has progressed heaps and I’ll need to catch up, but I need to win so I know I’m okay.

“My recovery has been good, I’ve just got to put that behind me now and focus on the tasks ahead. Of those tasks Finke and Hattah are the ones I’m looking forward to the most – those are the races that will give me a chance to race in America in 2015.

“This year was a big let down on my behalf so I’m just keen to get back into racing and want to do well for myself and KTM, and to say thank you to all my sponsors for keeping their support in our team and in me.”

Price is currently in America on a training excursion, this morning finishing second in the Red Bull Day in the Dirt event at Glen Helen.
