Australian Supercross Championship promoter International Entertainment Group (IEG) has responded to this morning’s announcement from television producer AVE that coverage of the 2013 series has been suspended.

Click here for details on AVE’s suspension of the coverage – indicating that it will commence legal action.

IEG tonight released an official response regarding the matter, as follows:

This morning an email was distributed to members of the motorcycling community from Matt Swaab at AVE Pty Ltd on behalf of Greg Sita and forwarded by Terry O’Neill from Australian Road & Track Rider Promotions P/L.

The email related to the alleged reasons for the failure of AVE Pty Ltd in broadcasting television shows produced by AVE Pty Ltd from rounds four and five from Phillip Island and the final round from Toowoomba Showground.

IEG categorically rejects any allegation in the email that the failure to broadcast the television shows was as a result of IEG not fulfilling its contract or making payments to AVE Pty Ltd.

Any legal action will be vigorously defended by IEG. The broadcasting of contracted television programs remains a priority for IEG and it will take steps to ensure AVE Pty Ltd fulfills its obligations in this respect.

At this time we invite any concerned parties to contact IEG directly for further information in relation to this issue.

Rounds four through six of the series, which concluded last weekend in Queensland, are yet to be broadcast as originally announced.
