Serco Yamaha team owner Gavin Eales is celebrating dual championships for the 2013 Australian motocross and supercross seasons.

Luke Styke delivered both the MX2 and SX-Lites titles aboard the 2013 model YZ250F, which will be replaced by an all-new fuel injected model for 2014.

Queensland-based Eales – owner of national distribution company Serco Motorsport – is proud of the results achieved by his hard-working crew.

“I couldn’t be prouder of my team and the effort they have put in all year,” Eales reflected. “It has been a long season but everyone from the riders to the mechanics has worked tirelessly and the results have been amazing.

“Also thanks to our team of sponsors and Yamaha Australia for their continued support.”

Serco Yamaha’s last national championship came in 2007 when Jake Moss won the MX Nationals title in the Lites.

Styke will now depart Australia to contest the MX2 Motocross World Championship in 2014, the team yet to announce a replacement.

It was announced earlier in the season that Luke Clout would be remaining with Serco Yamaha next year.
