KTM Australia is celebrating a successful first year as presenting sponsor of the Australian Junior Motocross Championship, highlighted by a supreme event and live coverage online during the week of on-track action.

The Austrian brand picked up eight of the 13 championships in 2013 (click here for event report), capping off an incredibly productive week for KTM.

“The track and facilities that the club turned out were really something to be proud of and the track held up really well,” commented KTM Australia marketing manager Greg Chambers. “It’s clear that the Horsham Club has done a huge job – the pit areas and club rooms were just sensational too.

“Our KTM TV finals day telecast drew 6000 views and the panel show another 1000 so thank you to Andrew Weiss from My Sport Live and Kevin Williams from WEM and the MX Nats.

“Thanks also to Kevin Doyle and Mick Carusi from the KTM Technical Service who helped hundreds of kids with big and small issues working 12 to 14-hour days, also to KTM Race Tech and Roland Ward from KTM Spare Parts Service who helped a few people out of a few pickles.

“Thank you and congratulations to all the KTM champions, you all presented fantastically and to Glenn Macdonald who was having his last junior nats as Motorex KTM Junior Team manager – thanks for all your effort and support and congratulations on your 54th number one plate in the seven years you’ve been with us.

“KTM Australia is the naming rights sponsor for the next three years and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event at Appin.”
