Victorian Kale Makeham has confirmed that he’ll remain with Tune Tech Racing KTM in 2014, fielding a 250 SX in the MX Nationals and Australian Supercross series.

Despite a number of stunning offers to step up to the MX1 category for next season, the current MX2 outdoor number two plate holder will contest a second season aboard the 250.

Makeham will receive additional factory support from KTM Australia, entering next year as a true title threat both in the nationals and supercross.

“I’ve signed with KTM again to ride a 250 two-stroke in motocross and supercross,” he told MotoOnline.com.au.

“Basically my mechanic Steve Jones will be full-time employed by KTM and we’ll have full access to everything KTM does and builds.

“We’ll be running our own team still, but with full factory backing from KTM. The team will be called Tune Tech Racing KTM Australia Team and now that I’ve got the manufacturer worked out I can start sorting out a few personal sponsors.

“I’ll go to the companies that I had this year first as I believe in staying loyal to my sponsors. I’m also looking forward to bringing in a couple of outside sponsors to support myself and Steve.”

Stay tuned for a complete interview with Makeham to be posted later this week on MotoOnline.com.au.
