American ace John Dowd swept the Veteran’s Motocross des Nations event at the famous Farleigh Castle in England last weekend.

Dowd, who this year qualified for a round of the American nationals and still has amazing speed, beat a list of former world champions and GP winners.

Last year’s Australian Motocross Champion Josh Coppins was second overall with a 2-2-3-3 scorecard, edging out English fellow former GP rider Brian Wheeler.

French legend Jean Michel Bayle was fourth, scoring two third places before finishing with eighth and 15th positions.

Former 250cc Motocross World Champions Fred Bolley and Jacky Vimond both finished outside the top 10.

A surprise 12th overall was current British Superbike Championship star Josh Brookes, one position ahead of legendary American Guy Cooper.
