Motorex KTM Off-Road Racing Team rider Chris Hollis has opened the 2013 Harvey Fresh Australian Four-Day Enduro in exceptional form, topping this afternoon’s rain-struck Prologue in Harvey, Western Australia.

The qualifying event was delayed due to the difficult weather conditions, however it was Hollis who headed proceedings with a time of 4m28.5s aboard the 450 EXC.

Second quickest was defending champion and current Australian Off-Road Championship leader Daniel Milner aboard the CDR Yamaha YZ250F E1 entry, 3.759 seconds in arrears of Hollis.

Current Enduro Junior World Championship leader Matthew Phillips completed the top three for Husqvarna Racing, just one second shy of Milner. Former world champion Stefan Merriman (CDR Yamaha) was next best, while second Husqvarna entry Glenn Kearney filled the top five.

Leading Women’s rider was world title front-runner Jessica Gardiner aboard her Ballard’s Motorex Off-Road Team Sherco in 55th position Outright.

Stay tuned for coverage throughout the week in what is Australia’s leading off-road event. Day one will officially commence tomorrow before spanning through to Saturday’s final moto.
